So, what do I do as a Red Circle Sr. Media Strategist/Buyer?

The Senior Media Strategist is accountable for crafting and executing comprehensive media strategies for Red Circle's clientele while adeptly articulating the vision and value of these plans. This role entails the development, implementation, and management of both traditional and digital media strategies, overseeing client budgets, and optimizing campaign performance with the assistance of the RC media team. Additionally, the incumbent fosters relationships with local media outlets and facilitates PR opportunities. Thriving in a dynamic, high-paced agency environment, this role also contributes to internal team efforts in pitch and sales endeavors.

This is a largely remote position that REQUIRES client and occasional sales travel.

Your responsibilities:

• Responsible for constructing, refining, executing, and sustaining traditional and digital media plans aligned with clients’ strategies and objectives.
• Cultivating robust client relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Skillfully negotiating and procuring traditional and digital media placements.
• Establish client flowcharts and stewardship of media plans.
• Collaborating with the internal team to prepare responses for Requests for Proposal (RFPs).
• Participating in presentations alongside the pitch team for prospective media business opportunities.
• Formulating and delivering media recommendations to both internal teams and external clients.
• Proficiency in budget planning and forecasting across various media plans.
• Attaining financial objectives for accounts by effectively managing costs, revenue, and scope of work in adherence to client contracts.
• Demonstrating leadership by identifying trends, opportunities, challenges, and industry best practices to maintain the agency's competitive edge.
• Providing a point of view (POV) on media trends and dynamics in the marketplace.
• Actively seeking out new avenues to enhance clients’ business growth.
• Operating as a self-sufficient leader with minimal oversight.
• Supervising and nurturing cross-agency relationships with traditional media, account management, creative, analytics, and external vendors/partners.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising or communications
• 5 years minimum of traditional and digital marketing experience
• Experience in managing multiple clients and types of projects.
• Familiarity with traditional media software including: ComScore, Nielsen, and Strata a plus
• Familiarity with digital media software including: Social Media (organic & paid), Google Ads, display, YouTube, paid search
• Strong communication, time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Skilled communicator with the ability to present your ideas through compelling story telling
• Strong understanding of how digital and traditional media channels are effective and the ability to communicate trade-offs between strategy and tactics.
• Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• This is a largely remote position that requires regular visits to local client locations.
• Additional travel for agency meetings and/or sales presentations are a required part of this position.

Skills

• High level of Excel knowledge and Keynote and/or PowerPoint experience.
• Other MS office, Dropbox, Teams and Google Docs
• Strong math aptitude
• Attention to detail in both written and verbal communication
• Effective speaker who can tailor the message as appropriate with team, clients, and external vendors
